This article provides information on why the 'NO-FORWARDING' keyword is appended to each command in RSI.

To save the system resources by stopping the Remote MGD processes, when  the local CLI is stopped using CTRL+C.

When you run a command that calls on another command in Junos, it will run two MGD processes; one on the CLI (local) and other in the background (remote). Earlier when CTRL+C was issued on CLI, it would stop the LOCAL process, but not the remote process running in the background; so it kept using the system resources.

The request support information command calls on other commands to run, that is show chassis hardware , show chassis alarms , and so on. So, no-forwarding was appended to each of these commands to ensure that when CTRL+C was issued from CLI, it would stop the background processes as well. This way, system resources are preserved.
