This article describes the output of the request system halt command with a CRM installed on an SRX-3400/SRX-3600 device.

Output of system halt without CRM - run request system halt:
Halt the system ? [yes,no] (no)
Output of system halt with CRM:
run request system halt warning: This command will not halt the other routing-engine. If planning to switch off power, use the both-routing-engines option. Halt the system ? [yes,no] (no)
We can verify the presence of CRM by viewing the output of chassis hardware.
Without CRM:

From the above output of chassis hardware, we can view the CRM; which is noted as CB1.
This is expected behavior. When a CRM is placed in an SRX-3400 or SRX-3600 device, the SRX device detects the CRM as a new Routing Engine, so it gives an option for the system halt with both-routing-engines.
This is due to the fact that initially the SRX device was designed to have dual Routing Engines, but this is not yet supported. However, we only need to use the system halt command without both-routing-engines , as there is no RE present in the CRM.
