This article describes the issue of the Event Profile AI script installation or custom Event profile failure in Junos Pulse.

Event Profile AI script installation or custom Event profile failure in Junos Pulse.

1. For more information about the error, check the error message in the failed event profile installation.

• Increase the Junos Space log level to DEBUG (for more information, refer to KB17407 - How to collect error log files in Junos Space [juniper.net] ).

• Re-deploy the Event Profile to the device.

• Look at the /var/log/jboss/server.log log file.

• Search for ########result from the device  in the server.log file and look at the lines above it, in which it displays either status for Event Profile Upload = false or status for AI Script package-add = false , for the error message.

• The username used to discover the device does not have the super-user permissions.
• The event profile bundle could not be uploaded successfully to the device,as the destination directory on the device does not exist.
• Junos Space does not receive the  commit complete string from the device, after deploying the event profile to the device.
• On the device, there is an install pending, which requires a reboot of the device, before the event profile can be installed.
