I want to know about the required license that has to be applied to a JSA HA cluster and how to apply it.

 

Solution

 

For your JSA HA cluster to work you need to apply the HA and Role license on the secondary and primary device respectively.

To apply HA license on the Secondary device:

  1. Under the Admin tab, go to System and then License Management .

  2. Under License Management, click the secondary device .

  3. From the Actions menu, click Manage license ; now click browse on the pop-up window and select the required HA license.

  4. Click Save .

To apply the Role license (BSE/EP/FP) on the Primary device:

  1. Go to System and then License Management .

  2. Under License Management , select the console HA .

  3. From the Actions menu, click Manage license ; now click browse on the pop-up window and select the required role license.

  4. Click Save .

  5. Perform a deploy license on the system and license management page.
