There are two options to update the attack database in the NSM GUI:
Device > Deep Inspection/IDP > Update Device Attack Database
Tools > View / Update NSM Attack Database
The first option- Devices > Deep Inspection/IDP > Update Device Attack Database , is used to update the devices with the attack DB that is available and present on the NSM server. The second option- Tools > View / Update NSM Attack Database, is used to update the NSM server with the latest Attack DB. If the NSM server is not connected to the internet, refer to: KB14070-How to do an offline attack update using the NSM UI [juniper.net] .
