Operators can leverage network intelligence via multi-layered network abstractions, automation schemes, templates, and Juniper best practices to significantly simplify the network life cycle; including configuration provisioning and troubleshooting.

Junos Space on iOS mobile devices provides a way for the mobile administrator to monitor and manage his or her network devices that are managed by the Junos Space Network Application Platform. In version 2.0, two new features, Alarm Viewer and Power Management for MX devices, have been added.

  • How can I access Junos Space Platform through my iOS application?

    The Junos Space Platform can be accessed by entering the server IP and login credentials in the login screen of the Junos Space iOS application.
  • Do I need to accept the License agreement?

    Yes.
  • Which versions of Junos Space will work with the iPad application?

    The recommended version is 12.2R1.3 or later. The minimum supported version is 11.4; but new functionality, such as the Alarm Viewer, will be disabled. To download Junos Space 12.2R1.3, refer to the following link:

  • Why am I receiving the 'Unable to connect to Space' pop-up message?

    When the Junos Space iOS application is not able to connect to the Junos Space server, this message is displayed. The app needs direct IP connectivity to the Junos Space server.
  • Why am I receiving the 'Please enter a valid Username and Password' pop-up message?

    Check if the credentials that you have entered at the login screen are of a valid Junos Space user. If the problem still persists, please contact your network administrator in charge of the Junos Space server.
  • Why am I receiving the 'Configuration size greater than display capacity' popup message when viewing the device configuration?

    The iOS application can display the device configuration that is the maximum size of 3MB. This message is displayed, if the configuration size is greater than 3MB.
  • Why am I not able to see the power capacity/consumption data for all Junos devices?

    At this time this feature is supported only on MX 960, MX 480, and MX 240 devices.
  • Why is the location being displayed as 'Unknown' in the power management list screen?

    The devices that are monitored have to be tagged with a location name - location_ <location name> for the proper location names to be displayed.
  • Will Junos Space iOS application work over 3G / Wi-Fi?
    Yes; Junos Space can work over either 3G or Wi-Fi, as long as there is IP connectivity to your Junos Space server.
  • How does the iOS application access the Junos Space server?

    The iOS application uses the HTTPS protocol to access the Junos Space Server.
  • Will Junos Space iOS application work on iPad and iPhone?

    Currently, only the iPad is supported.
