The 40-port SFP+ line card is supported on Junos OS 10.3 or later release.
The intent of this article is to inform users that the EX8200-40XS LC is supported in Junos OS versions 10.3 and later releases.
The 40-port SFP+ line card for EX8200 switches has 40 oversubscribed 10-gigabit SFP+ ports on the faceplate in which you can install SFP+ or SFP transceivers. Each port has two LEDs. See Network Port LEDs in an EX8200 Switch. The ports are numbered sequentially. The ports are divided into eight groups, each group comprising five ports. The ports in each port group share 10 gigabits of bandwidth. The EX8200 must be running Junos OS 10.3 or later release to use this card.
