Description

1-port SFP mPIM not able to show online state on SRX220.

Symptoms

On SRX220, the 1-port SFP mPIM (model SRX-MP-1SFP) does not work. The mPIM will not complete boot-up.

The same mPIM works properly on SRX210 and SRX240.

Solution

SRX mPIM model SRX-MP-1SFP is not supported on SRX220 platform. This mPIM is being replaced by newer model SRX-MP-1SFP-GE. The new SRX-MP-1SFP-GE model is supported on SRX220 in addition to the rest of the SRX2xx product line. For reference, below are part numbers associated with the two mPIM models.

  • SRX-MP-1SFP -  750-029145
  • SRX-MP-1SFP-GE - 750-032730

Note that 10.4R1 or later JUNOS release is required to support the SRX-MP-1SFP-GE mPIM.
