Procedure to upgrade or downgrade AX411 firmware.

  • SRX100
  • SRX110
  • SRX210
  • SRX220
  • SRX240
  • SRX650

AX-411 allows for a simple deployment of Wi-Fi networks in the branch while leveraging the advanced capabilities of Juniper Networks SRX services gateways. For more information, please refer to Technote TN71 . This document will describe how to upgrade or downgrade AX411 firmware.

Solution

To verify the current AX411 firmware version. 

Router-POE# run show wlan access-point AX411 detail
Active access point detail information

Access Point : AP-1
Type : External
Location : Default Location

Firmware Version : 10.1.3.7
Alternate Version : 10.1.3.7
Regulatory Domain : FCC

To upgrade the firmware, load the new firmware image into the SRX Series gateway flash and use the below command to upgrade the firmware of a single or multiple access points connected to the SRX. 
Router-POE> request wlan access-point firmware upgrade [all|name] file <path to the firmware file>
