How to locate and identify the serial number when ordering replacement CTP parts.

This KA is intended to be a comprehensive list of where to locate the serial number of the various parts or FRUs (Field Replaceable Units) within a CTP.   The type of FRU will determine where to look for the serial number and the syntax of it.  When identifying the serial numbers of the sub-assemblies within a CTP it will be necessary to remove the FRU, you cannot query them from the cli menu or CTPView.   If you are running CTPOS 6.0, on a CTP2000, you can issue the new hot swap commands to remove and re-insert an interface card without powering the unit down.  However, if you are running pre 6.0 CTPOS or you need to query the Processor, RTM or Interface Card in slot 0, you will have to powered down the CTP.   The CTP100x platform does not have any sub-assembly FRUs, the chassis is the only FRU.
