For the EX3200 and EX4200 the LCD panel may display the following alarms: "SPD ALARM" , "DPX ALARM" , "POE ALARM".  This Knowledge base article explains each alarm and how they should be interpreted.

Alarm Descriptions:

The different modes that can be set on an LED are:

• ADM (administrative status)
• SPD (speed)
• DPX (duplex)
• POE ( Power over Ethernet )

Example:

"LED: SPD" and "ALARM 01". This indicates that the LED's on the chassis are in SPD mode and there is one alarm on the switch. 

NOTE:   A screen displaying 'LED:SPD  ALARM  01' should not be interpreted as 'SPD ALARM' . There is no connection between alarm and the LED mode.

This is just a representation of the different modes of the LED. These same alarms can also be viewed through CLI or JWEB.

CLI:   In the CLI mode, the command "show chassis alarm" can be used to get information on the alarm listed.
