Description

The global CTPView admin user class - the "Juniper" user isn't able to get into Admin Center.  The Admin Center button on the left is missing from the list.

Symptoms

The global CTPView admin user class - the "Juniper" user isn't able to get into Admin Center. The Admin Center button on the left is missing from the list.  The reason for this is the global admin user account (Juniper) no longer has Admin Center privileges. To get this back, access to the menu of ctpview is needed. To do this, the user must SSH to CTPView server, login as the juniper (lower case) user and use default password (CTPView-2-2).

Solution

Perform the following steps. This will restore Global admin functions.

  1. Log in as juniper (lower case) and access to ctpview cli
  2. su to root (will be prompted for root password)
  3. Enter the command:  menu -- you will now be in the CTPView Configuration Menu
  4. Choose Option 7 -- CTPView Access Functions
  5. Choose Option 1 -- Reset Password for Default user Juniper
This will reset and restore all global admin functions for the Juniper user account.

Below is an example printout of these steps being performed:
[sys_user@ctpview ~]# su
Password:
[root@ctpview sys_user]# menu
