This article discusses the configuration for downloading an IDP Signature package on an SRX and J-Series device.

Unable to download the IDP Signature package from Juniper.

In Junos 9.4, only the IDP license needs to be installed on the device in order to obtain the IDP Signature package from Juniper.

In Junos 9.5 and later, the command below needs to be set in order to obtain the IDP signature package.  Also, a valid license must be installed for the device to get the IDP signature package from the specified URL below.

set security idp security-package url https://services.netscreen.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi

As with other set commands, the command will appear in the configuration after it is executed.
