Description

'show system storage' and 'show chassis hardware detail' outputs have diverse file system device names such as ad0, ad1, ad2, ad3, da0, and so on . The information below explains what these file system device names mean.

Solution

 

Juniper products operated by Junos, such as M / T / J-series routers, MX-series, and EX switches have different types of physical storage devices. This results in different file system device names when issuing the show system storage CLI command.  Below are examples.

EX4200 switch:
