Description

In this article, we will describe an example of a basic PVLAN configuration without a community using the Mist Dashboard.

Symptoms

There is no option in the Mist Dashboard to configure PVLANs. You need to configure it using the Additional CLI Commands section of the dashboard.

Solution

First, configure the necessary VLANs in the Dashboard either by using a template or directly on the device's dashboard. In this example, there are two VLANs involved:

 

You then create an isolated VLAN and associate it with the primary VLAN:

 

It will look like this in the CLI:

Auth {

  vlan-id 30;

}

Isolated {

  vlan-id 20;

  private-vlan isolated;

}

Primary {

  vlan-id 10;

  isolated-vlan Isolated;
