Description

If your WAN Edge devices (SSR) no longer need to operate as a High Availability (HA) cluster, you can delete the HA cluster from the Juniper Mist portal. The WAN Edge devices are automatically reprovisioned as standalone devices and remain available in the inventory.

Symptoms

Cannot delete an SSR cluster.

How to delete an SSR HA cluster

Solution

Steps to delete an SSR Cluster:

  1. Log in to the Juniper Mist portal.
  2. Navigate to Organization > Admin > Inventory.
  3. Select the WAN Edges tab.
  4. Locate and select the WAN Edge HA cluster that you want to delete.
  5. Click More > Delete Cluster.
  6. In the confirmation dialog, click Confirm to proceed with the deletion.

After the HA cluster is deleted:

  • The HA relationship between the devices is removed.
  • Both WAN Edge devices are automatically reprovisioned as standalone devices.
  • The devices remain in the Mist inventory and can be managed independently without requiring them to be reclaimed.

Notes

  • Delete Cluster is different from Release Cluster.
    • Delete Cluster removes only the HA association and preserves the devices in the organization's inventory as standalone devices.
    • Release Cluster removes the devices from Mist management, unclaims them from the organization, resets their configuration to factory defaults, and disables clustering.
