After upgrading the PoE firmware to 6.2.0.8.0 on EX4000 platforms, IEEE-compliant Powered Devices are incorrectly reported as "Legacy PD Detected" in the show poe interface output.

The issue is limited to the CLI display and does not affect power delivery, device operation, or PoE negotiation.

On previous PoE firmware versions (for example, 6.0.0.12.0), the same devices are correctly identified as IEEE-compliant PDs.

IEEE compliant PDs are incorrectly displayed as Legacy PDs in PoE CLI output.

Solution

• This is a cosmetic CLI display issue in PoE firmware 6.2.0.8.0

Workaround:

• Do not upgrade the PoE firmware from 6.0.0.12.0 to 6.2.0.8.0 if accurate PD classification in the CLI is required.
  
  
• If the device is already running 6.2.0.8.0, no functional action is required, as the issue is limited to the CLI output and does not affect PoE operation or power delivery.
