This article refers to an issue where the PFE (Packet Forwarding Engine) Die Sensor displays a null value for all Virtual Chassis members after a reboot operation on EX4100 platforms.
This issue might be seen if the following conditions are met:* On EX4100 with VC * When reboot is performed
The issue can be identified by executing the following CLI command:
>show chassis alarms
The following alarm message may be displayed:
Alarm set: CB id=218103951, color=RED, class=CHASSIS, reason=FPC 0 PFE Die Sensor Failed
This issue is caused by the PFE Die Sensor incorrectly reporting its value after a reboot in an EX4100 Virtual Chassis environment.
There is no functional impact to the device, and traffic forwarding continues to operate normally.
