Importing CA certificate to JSC on iOS

This document uses the application "File Transfer" from the Apple Store as an example. File Transfer is not affiliated with HPE nor supported by HPE. Air Drop should also work.

Note: CA Certificates imported into iOS must be in DER format.

• After downloading the CA certificates they should be visible in the Files directory

• Select the files and choose Copy and then Save to Files

• Select the Secure Connect folder and Save

• Open The Juniper Secure Connect app and tap on Diagnostics

• Tap on "Certificates" at the bottom under "Management". The certificates will not always be visible here even though it says to choose certificates to import. This is expected.

• Tap on CA Certificates and you should get "Import finished", but you will still not see certificates here.

• Tap on Diagnostics again at the bottom and then tap on "Certificates" under "Information". On this screen we should see the default certificates as well as the newly imported certificates.

Importing CA certificate to JSC on Android

To import CA certificates, they must be copied to the following directory in PEM format.

/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.juniper.vpn.secureconnect/files/Juniper/Import

• After copying the file, open the Juniper Secure Connect app, tap on the three dots and tap Import/Export

• On the Import screen you may see that "Import" is mostly obscured by the top banner. It should still be tappable on the little bit of the letter 'p' that is visible.

• Here you will see the certificates available for import. 
• Select the appropriate certificates and then use your device's 'back' function, whether this be a tappable button or swipe from the left side.

• You should see notifications pop up at the bottom of the screen for each imported certificate.

Unlike the iOS JSC app, there is not a screen to view what certificates are installed.
