Mist suddenly reports the alert:

- Mist is not allowing to save any other changes until this alert is fixed first.

- Currently Junos accepts the vlan to have a dot in the name.

- Mist even accepts configuring the vlan with a dot, assigning it to a profile and then assigning the profile to the ports.

- The portion that no longer accepts a dot, is the definition of the DHCP relay associated to the vlan with a dot {.} in the name:

Unfortunately, the system can’t auto-fix this, so the only supported path is renaming the VLAN to be compliant and updating the relay.

Suggested Steps:

1) Remove the dhcp relay for the affected vlan and Save. This shouldn’t break any communication on that vlan, it will simply stop renewing DHCP addresses on that vlan for a minute.

2) Once the relay is gone, the alert will too. Here’s where you rename the vlan to a compliant name without a dot and hit Save.

3) Reconfigure the dhcp relay using same parameters for the newly renamed vlan.
