Description

This article explains an issue observed with SRX series devices using SFP-SX.

Symptoms

When either the SRX or the peer device reboots, the connecting interfaces on the SRX remain down. A simple disable and re-enable does not work. Deactivating and re-activating the interface brings back the connection.

Solution

This issue matches PR1927646 and is fixed in junos:23.2R2-S7, junos:23.4R2-S8, junos:24.2R2-S5, junos:24.4R2-S4, junos:25.2R2-S1, junos:25.4R2, junos:26.2R1.

Workaround is deactivate and re-activate the affected interface.
