Description

In Junos EVO QFX5220, QFX5230 and QFX5240 platform, when OSPF is configured on VLANs(IRB Interface) along with IGMP snooping, resulting in OSPF neighborship failure.


Symptoms

On affected Junos OS Evolved QFX5220/5230/5240 switches, if OSPF is configured on an IRB interface and IGMP snooping is enabled, the hardware pipeline drops CPU generated OSPF packets. Because neighbour never receive the packets, OSPF adjacency fails.


Solution

Workaround:


Remove igmp-snooping or mld-snooping in the affected vlans.
