Workflow for configuring Out-of-Band (OOB) Management IPs on Juniper Session Smart Routers (SSR) via the Mist UI. 

To configure a Management IP for a Session Smart Router (SSR), navigate to the Hub Profile or the WAN Edge Template 

Configuration Steps:

1. Locate the IP Configuration (Out of Band) section.
2. Define the interface using either DHCP or Static IP addressing.
3. Sometimes configuring VLAN might not work for Management interface, you may leave it blank. 

Operational Considerations:

• Default Connectivity: If a dedicated Management IP is not defined, the SSR will utilize the WAN interface by default to establish its connection to the Mist cloud.
• Connectivity Validation: When transitioning from WAN-based management to a dedicated Management IP, the system performs a connectivity test. The new configuration is only committed once a successful heartbeat to Mist is confirmed via the new management path.
• Automatic Rollback: To prevent loss of management access, the configuration will automatically revert to the previous known-working state if the new management gateway is unreachable.
