Description

This article explains what data can and cannot be moved when implementing Smart ONE alongside an existing legacy TDD system, including considerations for tenants and SSP integrations.

Symptoms

During migration planning, may have questions as below:

  • If all historical data from the legacy system can be transferred to Smart ONE
  • Will Tenant and SSP data appear automatically in Smart ONE
  • Will past traffic and attack reports remain available after migration

Solution

Migration from Legacy TDD to Smart ONE is focused on transitioning to the new platform and does not include automatic transfer of historical or indexed data such as past traffic or attack records. Smart ONE begins collecting and reporting data only from the go‑live point forward.

Existing SSP configurations are not migrated, but they continue to function as long as the SSP version is compatible with the Smart ONE release.

Customers who require access to historical data must export and archive it from the legacy system before decommissioning.

Any request to migrate historical data requires separate professional services and is not part of the standard migration scope.

Smart ONE does not support automatic migration of historical legacy data. Customers should plan to retain or archive legacy data as needed and use Smart ONE for all future monitoring and reporting.
