Description

Routing policy configured cannot be edited from UI after upgrade due to presence of automatically created fields with null value, resulting an unusable and cannot be edited policy.



Symptoms

Upgrade to Red Hat OpenStack Platform Overcloud to 17.1.6 and Contrail Networking to 21.4.L4.1, and for set up which uses heat stack based orchestration for provisioning workflow including routing and network policies. After upgrade the policies which are created via heat is not editable via TF UI.

The root cause of the issue is contrail heat service adding null values to the routing policy objects. Due to this null values the TF UI is not responding to these edit/modify.

Solution

The issue is fixed in Contrail Networking to 21.4.L4.3
