This article explains why certain platforms may not display any information under the PoE outputs, even when PoE is enabled on all interfaces.

Symptoms

• PoE devices are not powering on.
• PoE is configured on all interfaces.
• PoE commands do not display any information.

In some scenarios, it may appear that the PoE controller is failing because devices do not power on when connected to any port. However, the same devices may power on correctly when connected to a different PoE‑capable unit. When checking the PoE outputs, no information is displayed even though PoE is enabled on all interfaces:

root@> show poe controller

root@> show poe interface

If no information is displayed under the PoE commands despite the configuration being in place, verify whether the device itself supports PoE. In this scenario, we are working with an EX2300‑48T, which does not support PoE. Unlike the EX2300‑P or EX2300‑MP models, the EX2300‑48T is a non‑PoE capable device. This is why no information is shown under the PoE outputs:
