Description


This article describes an issue that occurs when generating an IPS report in Security Director Cloud.

Symptoms


Report generation job fails with the following error:


Reason: SECIException caught in generateAndSendWebReportUsingMO of ReportGenerationBean No Json files generated for Report. Report Directory is null


Solution


Try generating the report for 2 or 3 hours to reduce the data volume.


If the report succeeds for this shorter timeframe, the issue is likely caused by a large amount of data or logs.


There is a report issue for a similar error that is going to be fixed in the Security Director Cloud 25.2.3 release.
