This article explains how SD Cloud handles group configurations that are created directly from the device CLI.

It also clarifies whether SD Cloud overwrites or removes such configurations and provides guidance on how group-based configuration should be deployed and managed.

• Group configuration cannot be created directly from SD Cloud.
• If group configuration must be deployed, then customers should: Use templates, or Apply the group configuration directly through the device CLI.
  
  

Does SD Cloud overwrite group configuration applied from the device CLI?

Answer: No. SD Cloud does not recognize group-based configurations created through the device CLI and therefore does not overwrite or delete them.
