Description

This article explains the issue wherein an incorrect device name is seen under Network >> Topology. The IP address is correct as per the Management IP Address column

Symptoms

No duplicate entries seen in the topology.

The incorrect device has never been added to the Paragon for it to retain the hostname

Management IP address shows the correct IP address.

Under Configuration >> Devices, the correct device name and IP address is seen.


Solution

This entry seems to be coming up from BGP sessions and hence is stored in the DB of Paragon.

This issue is seen on 23.x versions of Paragon.

The issue is not seen on 24.1 Paragon versions.


Please upgrade to 24.1 to have this resolved.
