For a newly configured application policy, WAN Edge Application Path Insights Current Status only shows the first overlay path as up and the second as "unknown" (instead of Up or Down).

After newly configuring an application policy for a spoke site, AN Edge Application Path Insights Current Status is Unknown.

The primary reason for the unknown status is, the path status is not available to cloud. That is the status is reflected after cloud received the path status events from the device for that unknown path. Generally after a new path is configured it is common for the path status to be unknown in the beginning, until cloud receives events related to the path from the device triggered by fail-over or application usage etc.
