GeneralCPU usage during the daytime was 43.6%, However it has increased to 54.6%.

GeneralCPU utilization does not return to the same level of utilization (40% range)

Solution

It is normal that there will be a slight increase in the CPU utilisation.CPU usage is very dynamic in nature, a large number factors including data traffic volume, traffic processing, configuration processing etc all can contribute to CPU utilisation.


Typical issues with CPU can trigger application hangs and crashes also No Spiked CPU and consistent high CPU which are typical symptoms for CPU issues.

There is a need to closely monitor CPU usage and look for CPU related alarms to identify any concerns with CPU.


A CPU alarm is triggered when the average CPU of all of the cores on a system exceeds 85% for thirty seconds. This is defined on SSR as CPU threshold exceed alarm.
