In certain instances, users may observe a loose internal component such as a heating conductor or thermal strip falling out of a Juniper switch. This typically occurs during initial unboxing or hardware installation. While the device may still appear operational, a displaced component could impact long-term reliability or thermal performance and should not be ignored.
A physical component (e.g., heating conductor or metallic strip or thermal strip) found loose inside the packaging or switch.
This issue may occur due to manufacturing defects, shipping damage, or prolonged use. If the heating conductor has fallen out of the switch, the device may not function correctly and should be replaced.
1.Do not power on the device if the loose component is found before initial use.
2.Collect the following information:
3.Open a support case with JTAC (Juniper Technical Assistance Center).
4.Provide the collected information and request hardware replacement (RMA).
