Problem

Multiple vulnerabilities have been resolved in Juniper Networks CTP View 9.2R1 release by updating third party software included with CTP View.

 

These issues affect CTP View versions prior to 9.2R1.

For example, PHP scripts may be served instead of interpreted. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.62, which fixes this issue.

A regression in the core of Apache HTTP Server 2.4.60 ignores some use of the legacy content-type based configuration of handlers.   "AddType" and similar configuration, under some circumstances where files are requested indirectly, result in source code disclosure of local content. For example, PHP scripts may be served instead of interpreted. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.61, which fixes this issue.
CVE-2024-408987.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N)SSRF in Apache HTTP Server on Windows with mod_rewrite in server/vhost context, allows to potentially leak NTML hashes to a malicious server via SSRF and malicious requests. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.62 which fixes this issue. 
 

 

Juniper SIRT is not aware of any malicious exploitation of these vulnerabilities.

 

These issues were discovered by third-party upstream providers.

Solution

The following software releases have been updated to resolve these specific issues: CTPView 9.2R1 and all subsequent releases.

 

This issue is being tracked as 1827420 which is visible on the Customer Support website.

 

Note: Juniper SIRT's policy is not to evaluate releases which are beyond End of Engineering (EOE) or End of Life (EOL).

Workaround

There are no known workarounds for these issues.
