On SRX Series services gateways, certain crafted IP packets may cause the flowd (flow daemon) process to crash. Repeated crashes of the flowd process can represent a sustained denial of service condition for SRX Series devices. This issue has only been seen on Branch SRX Series services gateways. While the vulnerability has never been replicated on high-end SRX Series devices, the fix has been applied to Junos common code used by all SRX Series services gateways. Juniper SIRT is not aware of any malicious exploitation of this vulnerability. No other Juniper Networks products or platforms are affected by this issue. This issue has been assigned CVE-2014-0617 .
